Sunrise SoundbathWhen&#x27;s the last time you were present for the debut of the sun? Often times, we miss out on the simple things in life. Life gets so busy, so hectic, and the ups and downs of life sometimes keep us from the simple, yet profound aspects of life. The things that are able to center us and and enable us to tune into the moment. The benefits of the sun and nature are unparalleled. Rising early, getting out in the sunlight, and moving the body enhances our mood and health. As it turns out, our biology is wired to light. There are also other health benefits associated with the sunrise and nature such as reduced stress, pain reduction, reduced depression, increased immune function, reduced cancer risk, (due to infrared light)reduced hypertension, reduced cardiovascular illness, improved vitality &amp; mood, and increased cognitive abilities. For just a moment, we are going to get centered and engulf our cells in sound while also bathing in the sun. So, come join me and let&#x27;s start our day taking in all the natural light we can get.About Sound TherapySound Healing Therapy is an ancient practice that covers everything from music therapy to sound baths. It involves the application of sounds &amp; frequencies via instruments and the human voice to restore harmony within the body and mind. There are several well-documented benefits to sound therapy such as deep relaxation, anxiety relief, reduced depression, insomnia relief, reduced blood pressure, migraine relief, and improved cognition. Sound therapy has the ability to relax the mind and alter the brainwaves via entrainment. My Journey Into SoundI bought my first singing bowl about 4-5 years ago. It was a small blue Tibetan bowl that I picked out of the store. At first, I couldn&#x27;t get it to sing without striking it first. Then, after practice I began to really get the hang of it. Sound therapy has become an intricate part of my life in many ways. It has assisted me with grief, anxiety, and managing the overall ups and downs of life we all experience. I now have several instruments that I utilize as a sound healing practitioner. I&#x27;ve taken courses and learned a lot from them, however, the majority of what I do is a combination of intuition, studying, practicing, experience, and creativity. During my soundbaths I utilize instruments such as my voice, Tibetan bowls, crystal quartz bowls, tuning forks, gongs, drums, and more. I try to make every soundbath unique and tune into the energy of the moment.In addition to sound therapy, I also offer holistic nutrition, birth wellness, and intuitive readings.Important Information About Event<ul><li>Please arrive on time. Due to the nature of the event once the soundbath has begun doors will close. (If is it outdoors you may still attend, but please be mindful of others and keep the noise level down.)</li></ul><ul><li>Dress in layers, bring a mat, pillows, blanket, water, bug spray (If outdoors) and anything else necessary to keep you comfortable throughout the duration of the soundbath. There will be blind folds available or you can bring your own.</li></ul><ul><li>Please be sure to include your email AND phone number when you register for the event. It insures you will be notified should the event be postponed, rescheduled, or canceled. </li></ul><ul><li>I will not be accessible by email/phone up to 1 hour prior to the event. Usually, I&#x27;m busy setting up and clearing the space during this time. If you have any questions regarding the event please reach out to me prior to the day of. </li></ul><ul><li>I recommend not eating heavy prior to the soundbath.</li></ul>Parking and LocationThis event will be held at Lake Elkhorn Park located at 7200 Dockside Ln. Columbia, MD. 21045. There are two choices for parking: Off Broken Land Pkwy (This is closest to where we will be) or off Cradelrock Way.
