Designers serve a critical role as communicators, educators and innovators. Founded in 1914, AIGA is the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design. AIGA’s mission is to advance design as a professional craft, strategic tool, and vital cultural force.AIGA supports design professionals, educators and students throughout their careers. AIGA represents a variety of professions under the umbrella of communication design, ranging from book and type design to interactive and user experience design.Northwest Arkansas is a proven hub for creative work, and has had an AIGA chapter since 2017. The board is made up of representatives from Northwest Arkansas companies, agencies and educational institutions.

Emerging designers, have your work reviewed by experienced creative professionals virtually.

<p>Can’t join us <a href="https://nwa.aiga.org/event/in-person-under-review-2022/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">in person for Under Review, April 16</a>? Undergraduate design students and emerging designers (people with less than 5 years of professional experience) can still have their work reviewed virtually, between April 20-23. </p><p> </p><p>We are pleased to have reviewers representing a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. <h2>How it Works</h2><h3>Step 1 - Register</h3><p>Fill out the registration form and mark your calendar. Go ahead and start identifying times you can meet virtually during April 20-23.</p><h3></h3><h3>Step 2 - Match</h3><p>We'll match you with up to 4 pros based on your area(s) of interest as closely as we can. Together, you will determine the best time to meet during the four-day window and which video conferencing platform is best for both of you (e.g. Zoom, Slack App, Google Meet, Facetime, any platform where students can share their screen).</p><h3></h3><h3>Step 3-Review</h3><p>Log on for your virtual portfolio review at the agreed upon time. We recommend budgeting at least 20-30 minutes per review.</p><p>Tip: Make sure you are in a location with reliable internet connection and minimal ambient noise. </p><p></p><h3>Deadline</h3><p>To allow time for matching, all participants need to register by 11:59 PM on April 11, 2021. </p><p></p><h3>Financial Assistance</h3><p>We are offering financial assistance for the ticket costs for students or emerging designers that need it.
