***SPOTLIGHT webinars focus on select, high-priority topics within the 3-Part HR Essentials Series.

Issues surrounding the Aging Workforce have emerged as a major HR focus in recent years. For these older employees, understanding retirement and healthcare benefits is a top priority- and often a source of considerable stress. Beginning at age 65, an evaluation of their healthcare options requires not only understanding Medicare- but also how it interacts with Group Health Plans.

This concentrated, yet easy-to-understand, 30-minute webinar provides an overview of Medicare's enrollment process, while exploring the different enrollment options- and challenges- awaiting employees as they transition from a Group Health Plan to Medicare.

Content covered in this presentation includes...

• Basics of Medicare Eligibility

• Enrollment Options for Employees

• The 4 Group-to-Medicare Enrollment Pathways

• Details of the Special Enrollment Period (SEP)

• Medicare’s Online Enrollment Portal

3 Learning Objectives

1. Understand the basics of enrollment into Medicare, including the differences between the various Enrollment Periods.

2. Learn the specific steps involved with a successful Group-to-Medicare transition, including those involved for the two key Medicare ‘entry points’ for older employees, the Initial Enrollment Period and the Special Enrollment

3. Acquire the knowledge required to become a more effective ‘frontline’ resource for older employees with Medicare-related healthcare coverage questions.

This webinar is delivered in a lecture-style format and has an attendance limit of 20 to ensure an optimal learning experience for all participants. An interactive Q & A segment is included prior to the end of the session.

A recording of the webinar is made available the following day and is accessible for 30-days to all registrants. This program offers 0.5 HRCI re-certification credit. To receive credit, attendance for the entire live webinar is required.

Upon completion of the registration process, participants will receive a Zoom link to the webinar, along with a PDF Guidebook that accompanies the presentation.

The Turning 65 Workshop provides Social Security & Medicare virtual learning programs designed specifically for the workplace. It was created in 2016 by Thomas Wright, a former financial advisor who specialized in employee benefits for more than 30 years. Tom saw first-hand how both older employees and HR professionals often struggled to understand and navigate the filing decisions required by these foundational American retirement programs.

In addition to 'consumer-leve'l presentations for older employees, we conduct a variety of educational webinars on topics of interest to HR professionals. These programs cover essential, high-priority information that's always delivered in an engaging and easily understandable format!

As an Approved Provider for SHRM, HRCI, and World at Work, our programs are pre-approved by these HR organizations for recertification credit. (Note: Credit awarded for participation in live webinar sessions only, not for viewing a webinar recording.)

"The webinar was amazingly helpful. If you have older employees struggling to understand Medicare or Social Security this contnet will be invaluable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"
