30 BodieS Opening Reception 

Ume:An art model and a brand manager of Japanese start-up brands. She lives and works in New York. As an art model, Ume has modeled for art schools, figurative artist, as well as art galleries. She had her first solo art show "29 Bodies" at Con Artist Collective last summer. She is having her second art show “30BodieS” in September 2019.IG:@umep3www.umemuse.com

The second iteration of Ume’s art collaboration comes to fruition on September 19.
The exhibition carries the same, but perhaps an even stronger intention from <A HREF="https://www.umemuse.com/work" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">29 BodieS</A> in 2018 , and showcases 30 artists (the number 30 to commemorate Ume’s birthday).
As an experienced life drawing model, Ume is a consummate subject of a show that celebrates the self, identity, and how we see ourselves.
The collection of portraits, taken as a whole or individually, seem to give the viewer a glimpse into how we might see others seeing us.
Ume’s collaboration with the 30 artists includes portraying her in the same pose and a requirement that her abdominal scar must be featured.
This daily reminder of a near-death experience is symbolic to the fragility of life, and something which we may struggle to be aware of until we see it in others.
