Join members of LA’s vibrant bisexual community in celebrating bi visibility month. 3 Piece Suite explores bisexual identity, activism, and the complexity of human connection. The show also includes musical performances by bi musicians Cindy Jollotta and MetronOhm. Kai Hazelwood and her collaborators draw personal narratives from the bi and disabled communities - revealing what is often not heard or seen. inVISIBLE is a collaboration between Kai, dance collaborators, and members of Los Angeles’ bisexual community who have shared their own personal narratives around coming out as bisexual, their families, and romantic relationships. Sh*t People Say deals with the complications of intersectionality and co-struggle. How can marginalized groups support each other and acknowledge the sticky plurality of identity? Seeking… explores how blind faith plays a huge part in our intimate relationships. We trust that we will find a connection, and that we will recognize it when it appears. Despite our various identities and differences we continue to risk our hearts and selves to find meaningful connections. 
 
inVISIBLE: A collaboration rooted in dance, between dance theater artist Kai Hazelwood and members of the LA bisexual community who have contributed their own stories to the sound score and as the inspiration for the work. inVISIBLE is part contemporary dance project, part activist initiative. It uses contemporary dance theatre to give voice to a community that is often invisible; its members considered gay or straight depending on the gender of their current partner. inVISIBLE shares the stories of bi sons dealing with frustrated fathers, biphobic mothers, creating the perfect bi superhero and more.
 
Sh*t People Say: This duet between a bisexual, African American woman and a queer, nonbinary, disabled Jew illustrates the complications of co-struggle in intersectional social and political movements. Showcasing the virtuosic movement potential of partnership between a standing dancer and a wheelchair dancer, Sh*t People Say spotlights the thoughtless statements to which marginalized people are subjected on a daily basis, and in so doing, demonstrates a framework through which people of different backgrounds can make mistakes, become frustrated, and yet move forward in a common cause.
 
Seeking…: An exploration of human connection. Full of small tender moments and honest human interaction, Seeking… exists at the intersection of the heart-quickening quality of risk and the blind nature of faith. Seeking… embodies the uncertain and often strange landscape of the search for romantic connection.

Cindy Jollotta: Cindy Jollotta is a singer, songwriter and performer based in Los Angeles who has performed on stages throughout the U.S. as a solo artist and as the female half of the country duet, The Podunk Poets. Currently Cindy is focusing on writing new material for her upcoming 2018 album release as well as co-writing the musical theater piece Madness in G Minor.
MetronOhm: Since forming, in 2016 MetronOhm has played some of the major venues around LA including The Echo, Harvard & Stone, The Satellite, Resident LA, The Mint, and many more.  They have also gained notoriety in the local summer festival circuit playing the KCRW, LA Weekly and Buzzbands LA event, Chinatown Summer Nights as well as the festival, Echo Park Rising. The band released their first EP, Matter, on April 19th (recorded mainly in November 2016) and had been recording and performing consistently since.
