2nd Wednesday Peer CEU Series:

Examining Bias

PLEASE NOTE:

This event is VIRTUAL! You will be sent a zoom link to attend.

This training is designed to increase awareness about implicit bias by examining our own behaviors and motivations. We will discuss what implicit bias is, why it matters, the consequences of implicit bias, how it can negatively impact those that you serve, and what we can do to disrupt and reduce it. In addition, we will discuss and examine White Privilege, White Fragility, White Supremacy, Racism, Anti-Blackness, Intersectionality, Generational and Racial Trauma, Allyship, and being an Anti-Racist. Recommended for anyone willing to examine their own bias and how it impacts them personally, professionally, and when volunteering. This training is especially necessary for those working and living alongside diverse populations who desire to understand their bias and move forward to more cultural understanding.

Whether you are new to peer support or have worked in the field for years, this class is for you! This presentation provides opportunities for interaction and Q&A. Come and learn all about implicit bias!
