Enjoy an easy stroll through the gentle woodland trails in Caryl Park and then get a special tour of Rev. Caryl’s 1774 house, courtesy of the Dover Historical Society. Caryl Park (83 acres) was donated to the Town of Dover by George E. Chickering in 1917. In addition to its trails that connect to the Trustees' Noanet.Woodlands, it also contains a playground, tennis courts and playing fields. The Caryl House remains a jewel from another era - and so obviously does not have air conditioning. We will have some lemonade to quench thirsts while we enjoy its kitchen garden.
Walks will not be too strenuous but parts will be over uneven or wet ground so wear appropriate footwear. Bring water, walking sticks, binoculars and cameras as well as sunscreen and bug/tick repellant.
Sorry, no dogs on this walk. Kids welcome! We will stroll in misty rain to shine.
Parking information will be emailed to registered participants Friday 7/12.
