2nd ANNUAL 5K FREEDOM WALK AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING RESOURCE FAIR

Brought to you by Sparrow Freedom Project and endorsed by the Macomb County, Oakland County, and Wayne County Prosecutors Offices

Human Trafficking has been found in every single zip code in Michigan. Anyone may be vulnerable. Please join us in walking for freedom from human trafficking and exploitation at the Cricket Field RAIN OR SHINE on beautiful Belle Isle on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 8am to 11:30 am. Come learn more about this crime and take the opportunity to see what resources are available to the metro-Detroit community.

Must have a 2024 Recreation Passport sticker on your license plate or purchase one at the booth upon arriving on Belle Isle.

  1. Check in from 8am to 9:00am
  2. Stretching from 9:00am to 9:15am
  3. Start Time at 9:15am

The cost is $40 per a person or $20 per student ages 13 to university level. Price includes a t-shirt and goody bag. More details about pricing is in the registration. Information about picking up t-shirts before the day of the walk will be emailed out. Children 12 years old and younger may participate for free with registered adult, but there will be no t-shirts available.

Must register by May 6, 2024 at 5:00pm in order to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Registering after May 6, 2024 or on the day of the event does not guarantee a t-shirt. Will have extras while supplies last.

We will have food trucks, water stations, snacks, and resources available shedding light on the realities of human trafficking in our region and beyond.

After the walk, peruse the resource fair learning about all of the resources and agencies available to victims and survivors of trafficking. Law enforcement, agencies, non-profits, and other service providers will be on the Cricket Field from 9am to 2pm sharing their information.

If you have any questions or interested in sponsoring, please email Tracey Cooley at tracey@sparrowfreedomproject.org.

We hope to see you there!!!
