Parents and teachers who love and support gifted children often receive repetitive, basic, and under (or over!)whelming information when seeking to support these unique learners.Come and chat with us, Dr. Matt Zakreski and Sandra Bean, M. Ed. We are on board to spend the evening with you, discussing the brain science of gifted children, as well as their unique propensities, intensities, strengths, and nuances. Hear perspectives for both parents and teachers, and leave with some downloadable bonus tips for both audiences in order to help you support your gifted child either at home, at school, or both.There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation. We are looking forward to having you join us!About your hosts: Matthew Zakreski, PsyD is a high energy, creative clinical psychologist who utilizes an eclectic approach to meet the needs of his neurodiverse clients. He is proud to serve as a consultant, a professor, a speaker at national and international conferences, and a researcher on Giftedness. Dr. Zakreski is a member of Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted and the National Association for Gifted Children, as well as Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education and the New Jersey Association for Gifted Children. Dr. Zakreski is the co-founder and lead clinician at The Neurodiversity Collective. Sandra Bean, M.Ed., is a brilliant, energetic, and experienced gifted-certified educator, national speaker, writer, curriculum developer, and mother of four gifted children. She holds degrees in middle childhood language arts and science, creative writing, and curriculum and instruction. Since 2005, Sandy has taught middle school language arts, elementary science, math, and language arts, and gifted pull-out classes as the intervention specialist. She is the author of multiple enrichment programs aimed at developing talents in high-aptitude and gifted children.She is the founder of The Bean Center for Gifted Enrichment and Support in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she furthers her quest to bring best practices to serving gifted youth in all capacities.
