Self Help Graphics &amp; Art and Prospering Backyards present Soil Time: Soil Rocks! Nonliving Things in Soil as part of our new Soil Time program, taking place next on Saturday, April 2 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. All materials will provided. Register today! What treasures and wonders can be found underground? Get inspired by the stories of minerals, fossils, timeless geology, and the dynamic movement of water through the earth with artists and scientists. Create an earth print with soil to take home! This workshop is for all ages.This series continues with Soil to Stomach: Growing Food on May 7, Soil in Crisis: Cultivating Hope For Our Future on June 4 and Rooted: Our Cultural Connection to Soil on July 2. Soil Time and Prospering Backyards is led by Los Angeles-based artist Maru Garcia with Self Help Graphics &amp; Art in partnership with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles and the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles. This series is part of the Getty Foundation&#x27;s Pacific Standard Time Initiative: ArtXScience preliminary programming. #SoilTime #ProsperingBackyards++++++Note COVID Visitor Requirements: All visitors must wear a mask at all times, including vaccinated guests. In accordance with the City of Los Angeles municipal code, Self Help Graphics will need to verify proof of vaccination for people 12 years of age or older; or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of visiting our cultural center.
