<p>The information technology industry in India plays a vital role in its economic wellbeing and is one of the fastest growing sectors in the country. The term is generally used to refer to a variety of areas including telecom, e-commerce, data protection and privacy, intermediary liability, among others. The expansiveness of the domain also presents a plethora of challenges in the event of disputes. Regulated majorly through the Information Technology Act, 2000 and other sector-specific regulations, there is a necessity to undertake a comprehensive review of the process of dispute resolution under these statutes and the practical obstacles that arise during the same. </p><p>Thus, the RGNUL–SAM Conclave on Practical Aspects of Information Technology Litigation &amp; Data Protection in India 2022 aims to initiate a discourse on the pressing and contemporary issues in the information technology sector, with a particular focus on understanding the disputes that emerge in India. This will also provide with a unique opportunity to present novel and innovative solutions to the  issues faced by all the stakeholders. It will bring together leading experts from SAM &amp; Co and other professionals in this sector, to share practical insights into the ever-dynamic opportunities and persisting hurdles likely to shape the industry in the foreseeable future.</p>
