We empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds. Check back frequently, as we post new service opportunities on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Seeds of Caring

Children will explore needs versus wants and create Spring Break Kits for the families of the Columbus Early Learning Centers to enjoy.

Who this anywhere service project is for:Ages 2-12. What you&#x27;ll be doing:This project is family and group friendly! Children will learn the differences between needs and wants through a read aloud and age appropriate discussion. Helping hands will then pack 2+ Spring Break Kits for the families of Columbus Early Learning Centers so everyone can have fun outdoors this spring. Kids can go a step further by using the Donation Drive flyer included to get neighbors, schools and friends involved in helping out, too! When you&#x27;ll be doing it:This anywhere service project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are! This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on April 10th. Instructions on where to porch drop your donations (in Dublin, Gahanna or Upper Arlington) are included in the service packet link found in your confirmation email.How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.The meaning-making:Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you&#x27;ll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project&#x27;s guided discussion focuses on poverty. Approximate Cost: $10 for two kits including bubbles, sidewalk chalk, etc. (full packing list is included in the packet and all items can be found in dollar stores). Use craft supplies on hand, or the printable templates provided in the service packet.Why you&#x27;ll be invited to donate:Every time we&#x27;re able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it&#x27;s with the help of supporters like you.
