Join Passive Home design and build veteran Steve Bluestone as he leads the group through the ins and outs of Passive House certification.

“Passive House” refers to a program and set of principles that guides one on how to build some of the most comfortable and energy efficient structures in existence today. This workshop will provide participants with a basic working knowledge of the principles as set forth by PHIUS (Passive House Institute of the United States).Participants will take away the basic concepts behind this successful program, some of the common (and some less common) strategies used to achieve Passive House certification, along with a couple of war stories about things one probably shouldn’t do when deciding to take this path.After the workshop, participants will be invited to tour Steve’s house (located about 5 miles away).ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORThe workshop will be led by Hillsdale resident Steve Bluestone.
