In this class you will learn a variety of dyeing techniques including Shibori, the Japanese resist-dyeing technique that involves twisting cloth and binding it to create a vast array of patterns on fabric. Class fee includes 3 items for you to dye and take home with you: a tote, bandana and silk scarf. Things may get a little messy so wear ok-to-mess clothes or bring an apron or smock.ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORDubbed the "youthful doyenne of sewing" by the New York Times and a "craft world luminary" by Huffington Post, Diana Rupp is an accomplished educator, author and designer. A California native, Diana founded Make Workshop in 2002 and is the author of SEW: Sew Everything Workshop and Embroider Everything Workshop (Workman).
