Join AMP for a night of inspiration and conversation with this year’s Atwater Lecture Speaker Laurie Hernandez on March 24th at 7pm!

Laurie Hernandez is an Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist who is an advocate for positive body image. Since bringing home the Gold and Silver medals at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Laurie has gone on to win the coveted Mirror ball trophy on Dancing with the Stars Season 23 and wrote her first book titled I Got This: To Gold and Beyond published in 2017, hitting the New York Times Best Sellers list. In 2018, she released a children’s picture book She’s Got This with Harper Collins Children&#x27;s Books, also a NYT Best Seller, while serving as a Literacy Champion to promote readership as a path to leadership; and Mattel created a Laurie Hernandez “Shero” Barbie to honor her.The event, which will take place at 7 p.m. on March 24th in Commonwealth Auditorium in the Sadler Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.Tickets are required. While most of the tickets are reserved for the W&amp;M community, a limited number are available to the public. Tickets are free with W&amp;M ID and $10 for the general public. You may reserve your ticket but will be asked to show your W&amp;M ID or pay $10 at the door. We accept cash and venmo. AMP will be adhering to William and Mary&#x27;s up to date COVID-19 regulations. Masks are not required but recommended.
