Fair Housing in the Time of COVID: Panel Discussion

The District of Columbia Office of Human Rights (OHR) was established to eradicate discrimination, increase equal opportunity and protect human rights for persons who live in or visit the District of Columbia. The agency enforces local and federal human rights laws, including the DC Human Rights Act, by providing a legal process to those who believe they have been discriminated against. OHR also proactively enforces human rights in the District through Director’s Inquiries, which allow it to identify and investigate practices and policies that may be discriminatory.

Join the DC Office of Human Rights for Fair Housing Month (FHM) as we discuss the variety of ways COVID-19 has impacted fair housing.

Come celebrate FHM with us on April 7th at 6:00pm with a virtual panel discussion. Our guest speakers include a real estate agent, housing advocate and the Office of the Tenant Advocate. Each will share how the COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped housing and how it has impacted fair housing practices, as well as what steps need to be taken to address these new issues we now face.
