Max Puglisi is an epicurean entertainer and presenter in Austin, TX. Hailing from the northeast, he’s spent the last decade producing live events framed by sounds, flavors, and feelings. As a lifelong musician and wine scholar, he designs gatherings that use both languages, where attendees experience powerful sensations with art that forge a wealth of rich sense memories. Max pours his passion of storytelling with wine and music into sensuous experiences focused on igniting intrigue and building community.

What: As proud allies for the LGBTQIA+ community, Victory Dog Marketing &amp; Design and Wine Rack Soundtrack present “Out Bands &amp; Out Brands”, an event to gather the LGBTQIA+ community existing around the festival. On Sunday, March 20th from 2-5pm, this event will provide safe space for creatives of multiple disciplines to network, share stories &amp; flavors, and discuss entrepreneurial success strategies. Bringing together official festival artists, an official festival film and its creators, and locally-based, nationally distributed LGBTQIA+-owned brands, “Out Bands &amp; Out Brands'' will provide a haven for the community to cross conference // festival borders and interact face to face. Free product samples, curated wine tasting with Official Artists in conversation, Official Filmmaker conversation, brand founders panel, community resource guide, and more! BRANDSThis event will come together around wine in one of Austin's premier wine destinations, Aviary Wine &amp; Kitchen (2110 S Lamar), with a delicious mix of activities… a magical opportunity to treat yourself. ATX based So Gay Rosé and Wunderkeks will welcome attendees with a taste of their collaborative “Coming Out Kit”, a canned wine &amp; artisan cookie package in addition to exclusive new product samples. Enter and be tempted by another quickly-growing locally-based dessert purveyor; Lick Honest Ice Creams’ mini ice cream sandwiches! These brands’ presence will culminate in a panel discussion at 3pm by each company’s founders; luminary entrepreneurs in Austin’s LGBTQIA+ community. The Out Brand Founders' Panel features Tim Chan, founder of So Gay Rosé, Hans Schrei &amp; Luis Gramajo, founders of Wunderkeks, and Anthony Sobotik &amp; Chad Palamatier, founders of Lick Honest Ice Creams. The panel will discuss what it means to be a queer entrepreneur in the current business landscape; it's advantages and archaic disadvantages. The group will take questions and meet with audience members to dig deeper into concerted conversation topics.BANDSThree official artists will be featured on the event, including Tucson, AZ based Chateau Chateau, (represented by the kill rock stars label), Austin native Quentin Arispe of Quentin and the Past Lives, and beloved local avant garde rapper Chris Conde. Each will share in a highlight session with Music &amp; Wine presenter/sommelier Max Puglisi of Wine Rack Soundtrack to discuss their inspirations, experiences, and paths forward. As the vehicle for this conversation, Max will offer a curated a la carte tasting of LGBTQIA+ produced wines with each featured artist weighing in and offering their perspective through the creative lens. One of this tasting’s highlights will be the brand new release of Dandy Pink’s 2021 Rosé, made by beloved local winemaker Rae Wilson. ATX Musicians LGBTQIA+ team leader, Genesis Vasquez (also of Technicolor Booking) will be on hand to speak about the work this local organization is doing to support its creative community members.FILMThe event will host the filmmaker and leading actress of Official film Tank Fairy showing off their best - film highlights via trailer and drag performance, respectively. Tank Fairy is a “musical extravaganza that encourages us all to embrace our authentic selves”, and with a fair dose of fantastic sass, the film captures a particular contrast in Taiwanese lifestyle while returning to that discrepancy a strong message about self-expression. Writer, Director, Editor, and Executive Producer Erich Rettstadt will appear at “Out Bands &amp; Out Brands” to share the trailer, promotional materials, and to discuss inspirations, his craft, and directions for the film . Recently recognized as an official festival artist, one of Taiwan’s most well-known drag queens and transgender performers Marian Mesula is known for her comedic talents, charismatic personality and electrifying choreography. “Out Bands &amp; Out Brands” will feature three mini performances by Marian to surprise and delight attendees. We have an unfortunate update to share from the Tank Fairy camp: We are disappointed to report that Marian Mesula is unable to appear at this year's SxSW. As we all know, she is a one-of-a-kind talent and this is only the beginning of the Tank Fairy journey.
