Her symbols were the eight pointed star or rosette, lionesses, and the constellation Virgo, along with attributes of fertility and plenty. The Sumerians worshipped her as Inanna, meaning &quot;Lady of Heaven,&quot; a war diety associated with rain, and the planet Venus, whose rituals involved pansexual Gala priests dedicated to her worship. She played a central role in the myth of &quot;Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta,&quot; and the epic poem &quot;Inanna and Enki&quot; where she cunningly stole the blueprints of human civilization from the the Sumerian god of culture using clever rhetoric. His specialties include the History of Christianity in the Early, Medieval and Byzantine periods, New Testament Studies and Greco-Roman religions.
