About The Event:During this two-part virtual hiring event, we will provide an overview of IRS benefits, explain the Clerk and Tax Examiner positions, and provide tips for writing an effective resume for these positions. After the presentation we will welcome job seekers to provide us their resumes, which we will review so applicants can be qualified during the event. 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Presentation 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Resume Review and Direct Hiring EventWe encourage participants to attend the presentation, and then stick around to have your resume reviewed and qualified for a position with the IRS. About Clerk Positions:As a Clerk, you will perform a variety of administrative tasks and duties associated with tax administration. This may include identifying and reviewing forms, preparing inventory reports, reviewing filed material, and transcribing and/or keying a variety of taxpayer documents.About Tax Examiner Positions:As a Tax Examiner you will respond to taxpayer correspondence and other inquiries regarding a variety of tax returns, related schedules, and other documentation. You will resolve account issues, advise taxpayers of enforcement actions, and manage cases requiring special handling.
