LiveCode.NYC is a New York City-based collective that gathers to discuss, promote, and explore real-time programming.Our members include artists, engineers, actors, designers, educators, musicians, game developers, and writers. We view live coding as a methodology and not specific to a particular medium or language. Learn how to show people what sound looks like using web technology. Make a small application for visualizing audio data with ThreeJS.

Central Library

Personal laptop or computer required to participate. This workshop will work through building a small application which will be used to visualize sound files in 3D. We will look at parsing audio using the WebAudioAPI and use threejs to visualize it on a browser. We will also look at how audio is stored and interpreted digitally and make representations of it in a 3D environment.Due to Covid-19 protocols, there is a maximum capacity of 9 attendees in person for this event. You must arrive 15 minutes before the workshop to check in . Otherwise your seat may be given to another person at Info Commons Library.
