Viz for Social Good volunteers will showcase their visualizations for the Tap Elderly Women's Wisdom for Youth project

Nearly 1 in 10 people have a mental health disorder, but only 1% of the global health workforce provides mental health care. Viz for Social Good is partnering with Tap Elderly Women’s Wisdom for Youth to help combat the mental health treatment gap in Tanzania. Tap Elderly Women’s Wisdom for Youth (TEWWY) utilizes the knowledge of retired senior women who are trained in Interpersonal Counseling to serve the mental health needs of vulnerable populations. Learn more about <a href="https://tewwy.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">TEWWY</a>. Take action today: VFSG volunteers can support TEWWY’s Mental Health Intervention Program (MHIP) by visualizing data from their depression severity survey. Please join our efforts to communicate this program’s high impact to key stakeholders, including communities, government partners, donors, and the general public.

Key dates:<ul><li>Project Launch: 08 March2022</li><li>Volunteers submission due: 29 March 2022 - (Submit your visualization to this <a href="https://forms.gle/vEjwR1zaKrmH4CJB6" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">tracker form</a>)</li><li>Live Event: 2nd April(see below time Zones)</li></ul>Our process:<ul><li>TEWWY will pre-select 5 visualizations that they wish to see volunteers present.</li><li>Volunteers via Zoom will have 5 minutes to present their data visualizations to TEWWY and the group.</li><li>TEWWY will announce their favorite visualization.</li></ul>Tools used:<ul><li>Any tools can be used, Tableau, PowerBi, PowerPoint or anything else that you think will tell a good story.
