9 session series (March 31-June 2, 2022) dance-making and technique class for ages 8-12! Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 PM at 33 Hawley.

SCDT presents:DANCE-MAKING + TECHNIQUE (ages 8-12) ** NINE WEEK SERIES! **Thursdays, 4:00-5:00 PMSPRING SESSION 2 ( 9 sessions ): March 31-June 2, 2022*No Class April 21 for School Vacation Week.*In the Workroom at the lower level at 33 Hawley Street, Northampton Note: The first class will take place in the Flex Studio Theater at 33 Hawley St.This registration is for the 9 week Spring Session with classes on Thursdays from March 31-June 2, 2022.This movement class consists of a Modern Dance warm up followed by a choreography lab. During our choreography lab, we will focus on using objects and costumes as duet partners and source material. We will experiment with various choreographic methodologies, both uncovering themes through physical research and allowing predetermined concepts to drive choreographic inquiry. This class is for all levels of experience.COVID-19 SAFETY:COVID safety protocols will be strictly followed. Masks are required of all participants at ALL TIMES while in the Hawley St. building, and class sizes will be limited to allow for social distancing.If your youth dancer is old enough to be vaccinated (5+), you MUST provide proof of vaccination at the beginning of the semester.
