The New Tour

The Read House & Gardens is a National Historic Landmark in Old New Castle, DE, owned and operated by the Delaware Historical Society. It was built between 1797 and 1804 and remains one of the most spectacular Federal-period mansions in America.

<h3>Tickets may be redeemed for any New Tour (interior tour) slot on the Valid Ticket Day. Tours begin on the hour, every hour. The last tour begins at 3 p.m. </h3><h3>*﻿**11 a.m. and 2 p.m. tours will be unavailable on Saturday, October 22. Tours at 12, 1, and 3 p.m. will be offered as usual. We apologize for any inconvenience.</h3><h3>Please note: Tickets cannot be redeemed for Open-Air Tours. The Open-Air walking tour tickets can only be purchased day-of, on-site and are available on a first-come-first-served basis.</h3>
