Community Memorial Foundation is a private, independent foundation established in 1995. The Foundation's grantmaking and community work are guided by its mission: to measurably improve the health of people who live and work in the western suburbs of Chicago. Throughout over 25 years of regional investment, The Foundation has proudly awarded more than $80 million dollars to non-profit organizations in the western suburbs of Cook County and southeastern portion of DuPage County.

Understand the leader's role in leveraging diversity and inclusion, and the key
competencies required for leading a diverse team.

This session will build upon the concepts in the racial equity and implicit bias/microaggressions sessions by helping attendees:<ul><li>Gain a greater understanding of the business case for inclusive leadership;</li><li>Understand the leader's role in leveraging diversity and inclusion and the keycompetencies required for leading a diverse team; and</li><li>Identify barriers, facilitators, and concrete tips for creating an inclusive environment.</li></ul>The webinar will be facilitated by Janine Hill of <a href="https://soar-strategies.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Soar Strategies</a>, and will be conducted via Zoom. It is open to CMF grantee partners, board members, and committee members. It will be offered twice; please only register for one session. Prerequisite: Attending Racial Equity Part 1, Part 2, or Racial Equity Assessment in 2021; or Racial Equity Refresh in 2022.Only 2 people per grantee organization may attend, and these individuals should have the power and decision-making authority to make the cultural shifts necessary for sustained racial equity work.
