2022 MPS Annual Meeting

The Maryland Psychiatric Society (MPS) is a state medicalorganizationwhose physician members specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental illnessesincluding substance use disorders.Formed more than sixty years ago to support the needs of psychiatrists and their patients, MPS works to ensureavailable, accessible andcomprehensivequalitymental health resources for all Maryland citizens; and strives through public education to dispel the stigma and discrimination of those suffering from a mental illness.As the district branch of the American Psychiatric Association covering the state of Maryland excluding the D.C. suburbs, MPS representsover 750 psychiatrists and physicians currently in psychiatric training.

The Maryland Psychiatric Society (MPS) will hold its Annual Meeting free for members, virtually on the evening of Thursday April 28th. After careful consideration and planning we are excited to celebrate with members the achievements of the past year, and to officially turn the gavel over to Jessica Merkel-Keller M.D. as MPS President. This will be a fun event with lots of interaction and a variety of interesting topics. After registering, the Zoom link for the meeting will be sent to you via email closer to the meeting date.
