Dive into the basics of ancestor work, from altar-tending to relationship-building, in this workshop for beginner witches!

Connecting with the ancestors, the earth, and our community is a part of witchcraft and spirituality that many find daunting. In each of us, there is a want to connect with those who came before us—our family, our Mighty Dead, and the plants that serve as our teachers, who have been here long before us. The way we honor them and honor ourselves, as well as the relationships we build with our magical teachers influence our relationships with the world around us and our greater community. Led by Frankie (also known as Chaotic Witch Aunt) this workshop serves as a guide for new witches to learn the ins and outs of ancestor veneration, including answering the bigger questions around who the ancestors are, as well as a guide to building sacred spaces for different forms of the Craft. Frankie ties these important aspects of honoring ourselves and those who came before us into a conversation about connecting with the greater community while holding steadfast to our boundaries as spiritual and mundane beings, creating a roadmap for honoring the self as well as those before us.In this 2-hour class, we will:<ul><li>Learn how to connect with, honor, and build magical relationships with our ancestors </li><li>Overview altars, how to use them, and how to incorporate them into your ancestor work</li><li>Explore relationship-builiding practices for cultivating community with other witches</li></ul>Please bring the following items to class:<ul><li>A notebook or journal</li><li>Something to write with</li><li>A snack and a drink</li><li>Whatever else you need to get comfortable!</li></ul>———————————————NOTE:This live, online workshop will be recorded. They have several platforms that they use to educate and entertain within the realm of their witchcraft experiences, as well as consistently centering the importance of decentering and desettling the witchcraft practice through uplifting voices that matter.
