Beyond Baroque's 2nd Annual, online poetry workshop focused on getting you through poetry month and beyond!

April is National Poetry Month and each year at this time, poets everywhere challenge themselves to write a poem a day. In 2021, Beyond Baroque hosted its first ever 30/30 Workshop with Brendan Constantine and it was a huge success, so we're doing it again! To help you prepare for the challenge, we’re offering this four-week series that will start on Wednesday March 30th. Each class will include group discussions on the art of poetry, effective tools and routines, and enough prompts to keep you busy until the next session. We promise you'll have everything you need to write 30 poems in 30 days, and probably a lot more! No experience necessary. Writers of all genres are welcome. Join us and be inspired.6:00 - 8:00 p.m. pdt on Wednesdays from March 30 to April 20. An optional fifth session/reading will be hosted on April 27th for anyone who feels like sharing new work! All workshops will be held via Zoom. <h3>About the facilitator: </h3>Brendan Constantine is a poet based in Los Angeles. His work has appeared in many of the nation’s standards, including Poetry, The Nation, Best American Poetry, Tin House, and Poem-a-Day. His most recent collections are Dementia, My Darling (2016) from Red Hen Press and Bouncy Bounce (2018) a chapbook from Blue Horse Press. New work is forthcoming in the Washington Square Review. A popular performer, Brendan has presented his work to audiences throughout the U.S. and Europe, also appearing on NPR's All Things Considered, TED ED, numerous podcasts, and YouTube. He currently teaches at the Windward School and, since 2017, has been developing poetry workshops for people with Aphasia and Traumatic Brain Injury.
