Five original one-act plays about our personal ghosts written and directed by the members of the TSGP Incubator/Mentor cohort.

<p>Five original one-act plays take you on an unexpected journey: from the specters of past relationships, to mythological omens; from communing with ancestral wisdom, to dinosaur spirits invoked in a paleontologist's lecture; to a haunting by one's own future self!  What better way to stay warm on a dark winter evening than to experience the world premieres of these unique ghostly tales?</p><p>Written and directed by members of the TSGP 2021 Playwright and Director Incubator/Mentor cohort: </p>

TSGP tickets are always pay-what-you-will, with accessible options available. </strong><h2>About the Plays</h2><h3>Gallery of Perspective and Light</h3><p><em>Written by Darby Sherwood; directed by Alison Kozar</em></p><p>Soldiers and housewives and milkmen, oh my! Inspired by an eclectic assortment of paintings and photographs, “Gallery of Perspective and Light” examines the nature of change and progress through the lens of our most private moments. With dinosaurs. And Milk.</p><h3>Machismo</h3><p><em>Written by Spencer J. Vigil; directed by Alanah Pascual</em></p><p>Max is going to their Quinceañera, but not in that dress. No one seems to understand, except maybe cousin Loli, until one day everything changes. “Machismo” is a magical, yet realistic, search for truth, love and understanding within a family.</p><h3>Perseus and Anemone</h3><p><em>Written by Monique Aldred; guest directed by Sadiqua Iman</em></p><p>Perseus and Anemone are newly-wed Black mermaids who have shunned an underwater life, creating a rift with Anemone’s traditionalist mother. A return visit uncovers deep family secrets. “Perseus &amp; Anemone” journeys below the surface of the ocean to discover the truths about Black families, love, and trust.</p><h3>Queenfisher</h3><p><em>Written by Natalie Schmidt; directed by Helen T. Mariam</em></p><p>When an ill omen sends Alcyone’s new wife Ceyx in search of an oracle, she and her BFF Iris, goddess of the wind, are left to contend with sea-drenched ghosts and unsettling dreams. “Queenfisher” examines the meaning of friendship and the cost of power in a struggle to shape the future.</p><h3>When I Began Dying</h3><p><em>Written by Sarah Miri Daniels; directed by Sophe Friedman</em></p><p>As Linn gets closer to her final moments the world she has known gets farther away from any familiar reality. “When I Began Dying” is a story of journey, death, and rebirth, and the knowledge that even at our lowest we have the power and strength to save ourselves.</p>
