Timeless Trades: Lotion Bars 101

Greenbank Mills & Philips Farm is a living history museum with tours and programs focusing on a variety of aspects of the Early Republic (1790-1830): the gristmill, the textile factory, and daily life at the 1794 Philips House and 19th century farm with heritage livestock.

On Thursday March10th we invite you to join us for the next in our Timeless Trades series of hands-on classes! This past fall we started with courses that go back to the basics, with opportunities soon to &quot;level up&quot; and will be continuing this through the New Year. All courses come with crafting kits and chances to hone in your skill with post-course help. Look for more courses and information to be released soon!If we&#x27;ve learned anything over the last few years, it is that self-care is vital-care. Let us help you in this class by teaching you how to make your very own lotion bar with <a href="https://www.justbeesassy.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sassy Bee</a>. We will be providing you with all of the materials and information you need to make three of your own lotion bars, but you will need to have access to a clean large glass jar (pickle, tomato sauce, etc), a form of double boiler, paper towels for spills/ clean up, as well as a heat source (such as a stovetop). Participants have the choice of the following three scent/flower choices: <ul><li>Rose</li><li>Lavender</li><li>Sooth (a mixture of lavender, Yalang-Yalang, geranium, patchouli, and Brazilian orange)</li></ul>Course Costs:<ul><li>Lotion Bar kit- raw ingredients including natural beeswax, a variety of beneficial oils, butters, and botanicals : $25.00</li></ul>Add-ons:<ul><li>Add storage tins (set of 3): $3.00</li></ul>Registration for this course includes all the materials needed for this course to make 3 (three) of either the lotion bars - including a honeycomb mold - as well as shipping and handling. This course will be presented via Zoom.
