Get Lit! Festival Weekend Pass

Get Lit! Programs is a non-profit literary arts organization housed within Eastern Washington University. Our program is responsible for Get Lit! Festival, the region’s only annual week-long literary festival. Get Lit! has grown over the last twenty years from a single day of back-to-back readings to a four day celebration of literature that brings a diverse line up of highly sought-after authors to our region, while also highlighting our talented local literary community. The festival offers free and low cost readings, writing workshops, craft classes, poetry slams, panel discussions, literary happy hours, and much more. Get Lit! Programs also runs Writers in Residence, a program that places published authors in local schools to teach 10-week creative writing courses to students who may not normally have access to a creative writing curriculum. It is our mission, both in our festival programming and our educational outreach, to advance the arts, celebrate diversity, and empower creativity.

Join us Saturday and Sunday for 15+ exciting festival events at the Montvale Event Center, including access to our two-day book fair!

Montvale Event Center

Welcome to the 24th annual Get Lit! Festival! This ticket allows you to access all 15 of our Saturday/Sunday daytime events, (one ticket is good for entry for both days) which include readings; panel discussions; interactive talks; dedicated writing time; our first-ever LIVE Dungeons and Dragons game featuring local authors as players; and much more! Authors in attendance include headliners Brandon Hobson, Lesley Nneka Arimah, and Chen Chen, along with dozens of authors from our region and beyond. This ticket also give you access to our two-day book fair, featuring 25+ bookish organizations and vendors from Spokane and the surrounding region. This includes sales from Auntie&#x27;s Bookstore and many other local independent booksellers, small presses, literary magazines, and much more!In addition, we are very excited to be partnering with Feast World Kitchen, who will be selling a limited number of special lunches for our guests! <a href="https://feast-world-kitchen.square.site/s/order" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Click here to reserve yours.</a> Our friends at DOMA Coffee Roasting Company will also be providing coffee in the morning hours, and The Scoop will be selling their delicious ice-cream on Sunday afternoon in conjunction with an exciting event in which authors will be reading work inspired by The Scoop&#x27;s ice cream flavors! Don&#x27;t miss this fun-filled weekend of events! *Our festival runs from Thursday, April 21st through Sunday the 24th. In addition to this weekend pass, we are also selling tickets to our two headlining readings, and four craft classes. Many additional festival events, including virtual events, will be free.
