2022 VSHSL Community Conversations

In 2022, the Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy is partnering with community groups from across King County to host a series of community conversations to receive YOUR input on issues related to the VSHSL as King County begins to plan for renewal.

<p>You are invited to the first VSHSL Summit on <strong>May 10-12, 2022</strong> at the Museum of Flight!</p><p>The VSHSL Summit will offer an opportunity for community and human services providers to gather together, share experiences, engage in new trainings, and make connections with each other as we continue to grow and serve King County&#x27;s communities. </p><p></p><h3>At the VSHSL Summit, you can join:</h3><ul><li>Exclusive trainings on Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Mental Health Literacy</li><li>Interactive workshops from community partners</li><li>Networking fairs featuring  human services organizations, serving veterans, seniors, and resilient communities</li><li>Panels and presentations from community partners on issues related to housing, veterans resources, civil legal aid, nonprofit wage and benefits survey, countywide information exchange and more!</li></ul><h3></h3><h3><em>Highlight Your Organization! </em></h3><p>Each day of the VSHSL Summit, there will be a VSHSL networking fair. The VSHSL Networking Fair is one-part networking event and one-part trade fair. Showcase your organization by registering to reserve a table space. Following both King County and the Museum of Flight’s policies, masks are optional but strongly encouraged to participate in the VSHSL Summit and proof of vaccination will not be requested. Please stay home if you feel unwell or if you have knowingly been exposed to, test positive for, and develop systems of COVID-19 within 14 days before the summit. </p><p>Masks, hand sanitizer, and bleach wipes will be available onsite for attendees to access freely. The Museum’s air filtration system is a combination of Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values (MERV) 8 pre-filters and 85% efficiency bag type final filters. The facilities will be sanitized frequently.
