Support. Community. Connection.
As Parents, Educators, and Caregivers, we tend to focus a lot of our attention on our children and our students while many of our own needs go unmet. It can be challenging to raise and guide children when our buckets are empty. The Empathy Circle is a time when we can be with our own experiences - to focus some attention on our own needs. The Circle is a structured meeting where each of us is welcome to speak about whatever is on our minds. We come together to connect with each other, share what’s going on for us, support others as they share what’s going on for them, and practice our Listening Skills.Empathy Circle Participants say: “This is the only space that I’ve ever been in like this where there is a deliberate, intentional pause to unplug. I feel like I’m on all day. There is value in intentionally pausing and just processing thoughts that people are sharing." “How nice it is to be seen and to be able to not have to couch everything I say. To not have to worry about how it’s received. To be myself.” "I am just really, really grateful. I recognize that I give a lot of support and sometimes make roses out of dandelions. I realize there are really times when I need support as well. It’s really helpful to be heard and think to myself - hear the words back and think, wow there’s something here that I maybe wouldn’t have looked at."Participation is free and open to all parents, educators, and caregivers.

Heart to Heart is committed to supporting parents, educators, and caregivers from all walks of life in their day-to-day journeys with their children. We will begin offering weekly Empathy Circles for Parents and Educators starting February 15. Join us to connect with other parents, share your joys and your challenges, and receive support through listening and compassionate presence.
