<h3> Hudson Valley Psychedelic Society (HVPS) is excited to host the first Psychedelics 101 online event of 2022: Ayahuasca with Taita Don Manuel Calazacón, co-sponsored by the NY Shamanic Circle. Psychedelics 101 is an online educational series produced by the Hudson Valley Psychedelic Society to bring together voices and perspectives on diverse topics in the psychedelic community. Each new event will highlight a different entheogenic plant, fungi, or mind-expanding substance or practice.  </h3>Are you curious about the psychedelic brew Ayahuasca?In this live educational broadcast from Ecuador Taita Don Manuel Calazacón will share teachings and wisdom from the Tsáchilla people, including how his tribe uses Ayahuasca and other plant medicines to cure human disease. He has been pouring ayahuasca for over 30 years, and is an expert in plant medicine, energy cleansing, and Temazcal (sweat lodge). This event will be moderated by the Executive Director of Hudson Valley Psychedelic Society, Li Wojehowski. Li apprenticed in a Peruvian vegetalismo lineage for two years, with experience helping to organize and facilitate ayahuasca ceremonies in the U.S. They aspire to organize accessible community events in their work with HVPS while lifting up indigenous voices. HVPS is thrilled to collaborate with the NY Shamanic Circle on this event, and honored to have Itzhak Beery as a special guest! Itzhak is an international leading shamanic teacher, healer, speaker, community activist, and author of three Amazon bestseller books. Since 1995, Itzhak has bridged the spiritual and practical wisdom his indigenous and Western teachers entrusted to him. He was initiated into the &quot;Circle of 24 Yachaks of Imbabura&quot; by his Quechua teacher in Ecuador and Amazonian Kanamari Pajè in Brazil.​
​Itzhak is the founder of ShamanPortal.org, The Andes Summit, and co-founder of the New York Shamanic Circle, he is on major global spiritual centers faculties. Itzhak received the &#x27;Ambassador for Peace Award&#x27; from The Universal Peace Federation and the UN. The event will be in Spanish with English interpretation. Live presentations will be followed by an open Q&amp;A session. It will be recorded. As an organization, HVPS places an emphasis on events being accessible to all, and we try to make most of our events free. That said, there is a strongly suggested sliding scale donation price for this event, as well as a policy that no one will be turned away for lack of funds (see &quot;pay what you can&quot; option). Please consider making a larger donation than is suggested if you have the means. HVPS is a 100% volunteer-run organization, and all proceeds either end up supporting our operations or the important work of our presenters. We want to make sure Don Manuel receives a fair energy exchange for his time.
