This is an in-person event taking place in the Long Room Hub.The School of English is delighted to welcome Prof. Chris Jones to deliver the postponed 2021 Kemble Lecture. Prof. Jones is one of the foremost scholars of the modern reception of Old English. His publications include the monographs Strange Likeness: The Use of Old English in Twentieth-Century Poetry (Oxford, 2006) and Fossil Poetry: Anglo-Saxon and Linguistic Nativism in Nineteenth-Century Poetry (Oxford, 2018). Please note that, while tickets are free, registration is essential.This event is organised by the School of English and supported by the Trinity Long Room Hub.
