It&#x27;s just a quick Uber ride away from the JFK/Morrissey Blvd or North Quincy Red Line stops. A beloved fixture in the Boston music scene for more than 25 years, Tim Gearan has become a bonafide local music hero. His warm, raspy baritone, jaw-dropping guitar skills, and wry, poignant songwriting have graced the bars, pubs, and music halls throughout New England, creating a loyal cult-like following. Gearan has released seven albums to date, with the most recent entitled &quot;I Thought You Were Somebody Else&quot; released in the summer of 2019, followed by his single releases; &quot;While the World Goes By&quot; (2019) &quot;It&#x27;s Not the End of the World&quot; (2019) &quot;Hey, Hey, Hey&quot; (2020) and &quot;Talk About Heaven&quot; (2020). 490-year-old bass player Jim Haggerty got his first big break in 1545 when Italian composer and organist Gioseppe Caimo discovered the 13-year old busking outside the Council of Trent. The young Haggerty was about to be taken away by authorities when Caimo intervened and offered him a room at his estate. The two wrote together for three years and achieved some minor success. It would be another 35 years until their underground hit &quot;Don&#x27;t Lick That Rat&quot; was used in a Bubonic Plague public service message during the live performances of &quot;Euripides&#x27; Iphigenia in Taurus&quot; at the &quot;Teatro Olimpico&quot; in Vicenza. Haggerty was able to sustain himself with that success for the following 430 years. Haggerty now resides in Boston, MA, and currently performs in several bands in the Boston/Cambridge area.Chris Anzalone, one of nine children, was the baby of the family who weighed a reported 16 pounds at birth. Born in Athol, Massachusetts, on March 24, 1887, his family moved to Medford when he was a year old. At age eight, he appeared on the stage. His first part was with the Methuen Comedy Troupe. From 1913, Anzalone was on the scene, performing as an acrobat, clown, and singer. His first real professional engagement was in 1904, singing illustrated songs for the Mayor of Medford Benjamin F. Haines at the Unique &quot;Medford Theatre&quot; at $17.50 a week. His last appearance singing on the stage was with Buster Keaton in Yokahama, Japan, in 1913, where he picked up the drums, playing the kabuki theater circuit for the next ten years.Bruce Bears&#x27; work with blues and jazz master Duke Robillard, uptown blues and soul queen of Boston Ms. Toni Lynn Washington, gospel star Mavis Staples, masterful songwriter and soulful singer Martin Sexton, raw bluesman &quot;Big Jack&quot; Johnson, singer-songwriter Mark Erelli, and many others have made Bruce&#x27;s skills as a keyboardist and musician as diverse as they are in demand.
