Celebrate Mardi Gras with a Virtual Cocktail Party that Benefits Womenaid

The Alliance for Greater Good is a collaboration of friends that creates events to connect the kindness in others with local beneficiaries.  The Alliance is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity.Since the Alliance formed in August 2020, it has coordinated events that have assisted a variety of beneficiaries including school children, families with food insecurity, seniors in long-term care facilities, restaurant workers, women transitioning from homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters and recovery centers, and neighbors needing short-term financial assistance.The Alliance embraces all-inclusive ways to give—time, goods, and money so that anyone who is interested can contribute.  The Alliance is a volunteer-run organization with the co-founders donating time, energy, and expertise in pursuit of their mission to rally the kindness in people to meet community needs.

The <a href="https://www.allianceforgreatergood.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Alliance for Greater Good</a> is holding its second virtual Cocktails for a Cause on March 1st to benefit <a href="https://www.womenaidportsmouth.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Womenaid of Greater Portsmouth</a>. A $50 donation gives you access to a fun and safe way to celebrate Mardi Gras at home. Gather friends and family and learn how to make three creative cocktails while dancing to some great live music.Meet Charlotte Capra, the bar manager at <a href="https://www.thekitchenportsmouth.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Kitchen</a> in Portsmouth, who will teach the audience how to mix three of her unique and delicious cocktails over the course of the hour-and-a-half event.

And, back by popular demand, listen to local rock band <a href="https://www.facebook.com/JamsterdamNH/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jamsterdam</a> as they provide lots of high energy music during the breaks while participants enjoy the cocktails they’ve made.

Proceeds will go to <a href="https://www.womenaidportsmouth.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Womenaid of Greater Portsmouth</a>. Since 2005, Womenaid has provided short-term financial assistance to neighbors in need. Financial assistance includes help with automobile, childcare, education, healthcare, housing, and utilities expenses. The Alliance seeks a donation of $50 per household. However, they encourage attendees to give what they can, so that Womenaid can be there when someone has nowhere else to turn. These are challenging times for many, help us help others.
