This HFP/PDPH training for the Perinatal Team includes best practices for treatment and support of pregnant/postpartum women with OUD.

Trainers: <ul><li>Roschanak Mossabeb, MD, Attending Physician,Division of Neonatology,Temple University Hospital and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children</li><li>Arielle Narva, MSS, Doula Support Program Manager, PDPH/MCFH</li><li>Amirah Grasty, Doula Support Program Coordinator, PDPH/MCFH</li><li>Sam Merkt, MSc, Full Spectrum Doula</li><li>MaryNissi Lemon, BA, Full Spectrum Doula</li><li>April Lee, Parent Advocate, Family Advocacy Unit of Community Legal Services of Philadelphia</li></ul>About this training: Target Audience: Obstetric Team members including providers (Physicians, Physician Assistants, CRNPs), Nurses, Social Workers, Doulas, Certified Recovery Specialists, and all others who provide care for women with OUD.Learning Objectives: After attending this program, participants will be able to:<ol><li>Describe the benefits and barriers to breastfeeding opioid-exposed infants.</li><li>Review the elements to prepare parents/guardians for care of infants diagnosed with neonatal abstinence syndrome. </li><li>Identify trauma informed strategies to support pregnant and postpartum people with opioid use disorder. </li><li>Describe the effects of court involvement on families impacted by OUD.</li></ol>FEE: There is no fee for this program, including continuing education.
