In Full Color is an award-winning organization that empowers women of color through education and the arts. We are leading a storytelling revolution that empowers woman-identified creators from marginalized ethnic groups to achieve the highest levels of Authentic Representation in theater, visual art, comedy, music, dance and other media. We also aim to entertain and educate audiences of all colors and genders about the need for diversity in the media, racial issues and cultural exchange. A workshop for new poetry/collage/zine creators with Starly Zines’ Sabrina Sims.

A fun workshop for anyone interested in poetry, collages or zines -- beginners are happily welcomed! Led by Starly Zines founder Sabrina Sims.We will have art materials available for collaging. Got extra pens, markers, paper, magazines, scissors and glue sticks? Please bring them if you can! Also pack any desired/favorite art supplies and materials for your own work.Join us for the kickoff of Hudson County Community College&#x27;s Behind the Scenes Sundays, an event series inviting audiences to join artists at work -- and perhaps even create art of their own! In Full Color is the first group of resident artists for the program, with events on Feb. 6 and 13, as well as March 6, 13 and 20. (Though donations are appreciated!)ABOUT THE ARTISTSabrina Sims (she/her) is a Black Puerto Rican femme and chronically ill multimedia artist from the Bronx. Her ever-shifting interests include themes and motifs including space, magical Black femme-ness and reiterating ideas. She currently works in mediums like zines, riso printmaking, collage, photography and music. Her first collab zine &quot;space for Black hair&quot;, is a celestial exploration about Black hair for the diaspora.
