Tristan and Iseult: A Medieval Romance

Love, betrayal, dragons, severed body parts, treachery, enchantment and so much more! This story is hundreds of years old, and still compelling today. I'm telling the story "Tristan and Iseult" just before Valentine's Day. Zoom on in!

Join me for a rollicking story that has stood the test of time! You&#x27;ll hear of kidnapping, dragon tongues, love potions, iridescent fairy dogs, the Hairy Urgan and so much more in this Medieval tale. As a storyteller, I perform without notes or script, with only the images in my mind to prompt me.I&#x27;m telling it on Saturday night and again on Sunday afternoon. There will be a short intermission at about 55 minutes. The Zoom link will be the same for both days, so if listening to the entire 95-minute story is daunting on Saturday night, come back on Sunday afternoon about an hour after I begin. Or you can hear it twice in it&#x27;s entirety for the price of once.I have taken liberties: some scenes are omitted, others expanded, and there are slight anachronisms, all in the service of the story. Stories live and change in the process of telling.This story is appropriate for older kids and adults. I&#x27;ve told it at cafes and universities, to groups of friends and to complete strangers, to a group of a hundred absolutely rapt kids in Juvenile Detention. One listener at a public event said afterwards, &quot;Sorry I had to leave without saying goodbye. I was with a friend who was sobbing.&quot; Yeah, it&#x27;s a love story.
