Reservation 13 - meet at Stadium-Armory Metro Stop

Join Casey Trees for a light 45-minute walk to highlight sustainable development within the neighborhood context. Reservation 13 is one of the last remaining large-scale waterfront developments in the District and this will be a unique opportunity to see the first phases being implemented. The route will take attendees from the Metro stop past Congressional Cemetery to understand the role that tree canopy plays in placemaking and neighborhood cohesiveness. We will end the walk back at the Stadium Armory metro.The newly updated Casey Trees species guides will be available as an add-on when you purchase your ticket online.What to expect: An easy walk among a variety of tree species, stopping to identify trees and connect with nature. Species guides will be available to use to identify trees.Time: Check in will begin at 12:15 pm. The walk will last for approximately 45 minutesWhat to bring: Your own reusable water bottle, comfortable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, your own lunch, and maybe some coffee or tea to enjoy while you walk. Lunch will not be provided. COVID-19 Policy: Casey Trees is now requiring all attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend our events. One of the following options will demonstrate proof of vaccination:- A physical Center for Disease Control (CDC) Vaccination Card- A digital copy/photo of a CDC Vaccination Card- A COVID-19 Verification App such as VaxYes or CLEARPlease bring a photo ID and one of the above listed options to provide proof of vaccination. You may not be asked to show proof of vaccination during our outdoor event, however you may need to show proof of vaccination to use any indoor facilities.Getting There:We will meet at the Stadium-Armory Metro Station at 192 19th St SE, Washington, DC 20003Public Transportation: Stadium-Armory Metro Station, served by the blue, orange, and silver lines.Biking: The location is accessible by bike.
