Public Library Innovation Exchange (PLIX)

Re-envision (and prototype) the future of dining and well-being in outer-space!

For our March workshop, PLIX will host a remix of our <a href="https://plix.media.mit.edu/activities/scratch-microbit" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a><a href="https://plix.media.mit.edu/activities/space-food" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Space Food activity</a>.Join us Thursday, March 17th, from 12:00-1:00PM ET to prototype the future of dining in outer-space environments. This workshop will focus on &quot;Recreating Rituals&quot; — or re-envisioning what your favorite on-Earth rituals around food (preparing, dining, plating, sharing, etc.) look like in a zero-gravity environment. We’ll use this hour for hands-on co-tinkering, working with fellow members of the PLIX community to make projects. No previous experience is necessary! You&#x27;ll come away with concrete ideas for creative STEAM learning programming to run with your patrons. This workshop will be held via Zoom, but is hands-on! Come prepared to create your own Space Food project! To participate, you&#x27;ll need various materials to prototype your invention/tool. We suggest a mix of standard craft material, as we well as some recycled packaging/waste.
