生物医学工程是为着改善人类健康在医学和生物学领域结合物理学、化学、数学和计算机科学运用工程学的原理和方法促进医疗卫生发展，理论与实践并重，极富创造性的新型学科。生物医学工程的主要任务是运用工程学的原理解决医学问题。

<LI>北大生物医学工程是建立在北大传统优势学科生物力学、生物物理学方向基础上发展起来的；</LI>
<LI>2003年9月，国务院学位办批准北京大学设立生物医学工程硕士点;</LI>
<LI>2005年6月正式成立生物医学工程系；</LI>
<LI>2009年正式启动北大-佐治亚理工/埃默里大学生物医学工程联合博士生项目；</LI>
<LI>2011年获批建设生物医学工程一级学科博士点；</LI>
<LI>2014年获批建立生物医学工程一级学科博士后流动站；</LI>
<LI>至今已拥有生物医学工程本科专业、一级学科硕士点、博士点以及博士后流动站，也是北大工学院重建以来新办专业中第一个形成完整的人才培养体系的一级学科点。</LI>
<LI>2018年3月13号学校批准由工学院和医学部共建生物医学工程系，并可在附属医院双聘。</LI>

研究方向：主要从事大规模功能基因技术的研发，药物筛选、药效评估动物模型等方面，取得了突出成绩，在Nature Cell Biology, 等专业杂志，发表50余篇高水平学术论文；主持或承担过国家自然科学基金4项，973课题2项及863课题2项
陈海峰教授 生物材料与再生医学。主攻再生医学、组织工程支架材料、牙釉质再生、纳米荧光材料示踪细胞及植入材料。

Tenured/tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor
Biomedical Engineering Department, Peking University
The Department of Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering, at Peking University invites applications for tenure-tracked faculty positions at the assistant, associate and full professor levels. Candidates should aspire to direct a leading research program in one of the following areas: (1) Bioimaging/Molecular Imaging; (2) Molecular Biomedical Engineering and Cell Therapy; (3) Health Informatics; (4) Micro/Nano Devices and Medical Instrumentation; and (5) Biomaterials/Tissue engineering. We are part of the Joint Program with the Peking University Health Science Center (PUHSC). Our core faculty members have opportunities to collaborate with physicians at PUHSC-affiliated hospitals.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in a science or engineering discipline related to biological engineering. Faculty duties include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels as well as oversight of research, conducting original scholarly research, and developing course materials at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

1996年毕业于北京理工大学化工与材料学院，2000年在清华大学生物系获得细胞与分子生物学硕士，2004年在加州大学洛杉矶分校获得生物医学工程专业博士学位。2005年，加入北京大学工学院生物医学工程系。
目前担任中国化学会化学生物学专业委员会委员、国际材料学会(Material Research Society)和国际生物物理学会(Biophysics Society) 会员、中国医药生物技术协会生物芯片分会常务委员、中国生物医学工程学会生物医学测量分会委员、中国医师协会临床精准医疗专业委员等职务。目前是 Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine副主编，JALA编委，也是Science、JACS、Cell Research、Biomaterials 等多个国际知名杂志的审稿人。
席建忠教授在化学、生物、微电子加工等多个领域，有良好的海内外教育与工作经历，是前沿交叉研究领域难得的领军人才。主要从事基因编辑、生物芯片等研发及应用，在功能基因解析 、新药靶点、活性分子筛选、药效评估动物模型等方面，取得了突出成绩，在 Nature,Nature Biotechnology,Nature Cell Biology, Nature Communication, PNAS, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.,等专业杂志，发表 50余篇高水平学术论文；申报6项国家发明专利，其中2项授权。主持或承担过国家级课题15项。一系列原创性自组装细胞芯片、TALEN等技术平台，已经为赛诺菲、雅诗兰黛等国际知名企业和清华、北大、中科院等数十家科研单位提供有力的技术支持。
