2022 Goodwilll Hawaii Tax Clinic - Windward Oahu

Goodwill Hawaii is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation that helps people with employment barriers to reach their full potential and become self-sufficient. Since 1959, Goodwill Hawaii has provided job placement, career development, education, training, employment and support services for individuals in need throughout the state of Hawaii. In the past year, more than 11,000 people with barriers to employment have benefited from Goodwill’s services each year.

For the 18th year in a row, Goodwill Hawaii is pleased to partner with the Internal Revenue Service to provide free tax preparation services to eligible tax filers at seven locations statewide, including three on Oahu, two on the Big Island, one on Maui and one on Kauai. Last season, our Goodwill Tax Clinics assisted more than 2,400 households with filing their Federal and Hawaii State tax returns who received over $4 million in tax refunds and credits—completely free of charge!If you or your household earned $58,000 or less in 2021 and you do NOT own a home or a business, you may qualify for Goodwill&#x27;s free tax filing service.HOW TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT<ul><li>Select your preferred date and time from the ticket menu below; enter the quantity of individuals or households that will be needing tax preparation assistance; and go to checkout.</li><li>Remember to bring all necessary documents to your appointment. You keep your entire tax refund.What do I need to bring to my appointment?<ul><li>Proof of identification (acceptable forms of ID include a drivers license, passport, state ID)</li><li>Social Security cards for you, your spouse and dependents </li><li>An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) assignment letter may be substituted for you, your spouse and your dependents if you do not have a Social Security number</li><li>Proof of foreign status, if applying for an ITIN</li><li>Birth dates for you, your spouse and dependents on the tax return</li><li>Wage and earning statements (Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R,1099-Misc) from all employers</li><li>Interest and dividend statements from banks (Forms 1099)</li><li>All Forms 1095, Health Insurance Statements</li><li>Health Insurance Exemption Certificate, if received</li><li>A copy of last year’s federal and state returns, if available</li><li>Proof of bank account routing and account numbers for direct deposit such as a blank check</li><li>To file taxes electronically on a married-filing-joint tax return, both spouses must be present to sign the required forms</li><li>Total paid for daycare provider and the daycare provider&#x27;s tax identifying number such as their Social Security number or business Employer Identification Number</li><li>Forms 1095-A, B or C, Affordable Health Care Statements</li><li>Copies of income transcripts from IRS and state, if applicable</li></ul>
