Join us May 14, 2022 on the Union College campus for a free, fun & family-friendly event celebrating Making Culture in the Capital District!

The Electric City Mini Maker Faire will return to Frank L. Messa Rink on the beautiful Union College campus on Saturday, May 14th, 2022 from 2pm-5pm. Hosted by the Union College Maker Web and now in its second year, the 2019 event attracted over 30 exhibitors and 400 guests. The event is free, open to the public, and will have a variety of exhibitors to display their work and host demonstrations, workshops and hands-on activities. We are gathering Union College faculty and students, local makers, small businesses, high school STEAM programs, First Robotics, local Maker Spaces and many others to make it a well-rounded event that promotes making, hands on learning, STEAM education and the Capital District.It will be a fun and educational day intended to help create connections between Union and the community and to strengthen the network of creatives, technologists and makers at Union, in Schenectady, the Capital District and beyond!<blockquote>&quot;Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. While there will be no formal verification when you arrive at Union, we respectfully request this requirement is honored to keep our campus community healthy. </li><li>Masks are encouraged for indoor settings.</li><li>Visitors are not permitted in the residence halls. </li><li>Frequent hand washing is recommended and encouraged during your visits. </li><li>We ask that you do not visit campus if you feel unwell or have COVID-related symptoms.</li><li>Attendees are expected, but not required, to mask. </li></ul>
