PRESS RELEASEFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Student Performances of “Toy Camp” Rescheduled due to Weather LAWTON, OKLAHOMA – Due to the inclement weather, closures of schools, and availability of transportation and cast members, all performances of Lawton Community Theatre’s “Toy Camp” at McMahon Memorial Auditorium have been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 8th, 2022. No shows will take place on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022 or February 24th, 2022. If you purchased a ticket for the 6:30 show this week, your ticket is still valid, just bring it with you to the 6:30 Show on March 3rd.“Toy Camp,” with book, music and lyrics by Paul Collette and Gary Fritzen, brings audiences into the world of make-believe, a place where toys learn to be good toys at Toy Camp. Ted E. Bear, Princess Ann, Glow Toy and others have come to Toy Camp in hopes of graduating and earning their price tags so that they can be sold in toy stores. Not graduating from Toy Camp means certain doom at the Toy Dump. During their week at camp, the toys learn lessons in paying attention as well as practicing, and overcoming, their fears and weaknesses. Each toy learns that confidence in yourself is the key to being loved by others, and that everyone is good at something. This production is approximately one-hour in length and is suitable for the entire family.The project is supported in part by the Oklahoma Arts Council, which receives support from the State of Oklahoma and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional support from the McMahon Auditorium Authority, Lawton Community Theatre and the City of Lawton allows Lawton Arts &amp; Humanities Council.The Oklahoma Arts Council is the official state agency for the support and development of the arts. The agency’s mission is to lead in the advancement of Oklahoma’s thriving arts industry.The McMahon Auditorium Authority is a City of Lawton public trust. The mission of the authority is to further the vision of Mrs. Louise D. McMahon to advocate the advancement of the arts and other educational and cultural endeavors through the use of the McMahon Memorial Auditorium.

<h2>Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Arts &amp; Humanities Division office, 801 NW Ferris (west entrance to the McMahon Memorial Auditorium) as well as at the box office on the day of the show. </h2>
