Join us for a therapeutic Black History-themed painting session while sipping on a non-alcoholic beverage at Virginia Avenue Park. The class will be led by artist Nicole. Nicole K is a self-taught Los Angeles based artist &amp; photographer whose work is inspired by urban street life, black culture and the importance of mental health. She was introduced to photography as a child through her father who helped to shape the work she creates today. She has pursued photography and painting professionally since 2016 and has participated in several art shows throughout California since then. Since earning her Bachelor’s degree at Cal State Northridge in psychology, she has been working in education with at-risk youth throughout Los Angeles County. She has currently shifted her focus into combining her passion for teaching and art into creating Paint with Intention, a pop-up paint party service that inspires people of all ages to explore their creativity and artistic abilities.
