Follow Your Pleasure: Austin Women's Circle

Sexological bodywork is a body based coaching method with the aim of aligning your mind and your body, leaving space for your intuition to be the compass for your life. In the modality of pleasure coaching and bodywork we will focus on your pleasure, s*x, and general body literacy. It is a hands-on approach that incorporates whole body touch, including the erogenous zones of the genitals, anus, and breasts when appropriate to the intention of the session.The modality is informed by and sensitive to the nervous system and polyvagal theory, trauma, gender non-conforming folks, differently-abled people, consent literacy, and scar tissue remediation.Our sessions together will be client led, all with the goal of educating you to your body. Sexological bodywork exists between the two modalities of coaching and hands-on work (or bodywork), always with the goal of giving you the tools to achieve your intentions. I do not have a syllabus to take you through, nor will I give you a prescriptive program. Women's circles are gatherings for women with the aim of creating a safe place for women to commune and share what is alive for them. It is a nonjudgmental, non-goal oriented space where women have the opportunity to be witnessed in whatever way they need most. This event is for all women identified folks.Come as you are, you are so welcome here. In Follow Your Pleasure: Austin Women's Circle we will be circling as women have for generations past, allowing the collective wisdom of our femininity, our bodies, and our yonis (energetic or physical) to benefit the whole. The diversity of what it means to each of us to be a woman and to be feminine will knit together to create a lattice of support and connection amongst our fellow sisters. Every time we commune is another moment of healing the breaches in our relationship to the collective and to our fellow sisters. Finding comfort in fellow women is something that many of us struggle with and one that has the simple fix of entering spaces where safety is carefully curated by an experienced member of the community. In the spirit of Body Compass, we will begin with a few short embodiment exercises and self-honoring practices to help us to connect to the safety we can find in our bodies and in community. After we have connected to our bodies, we will then begin sharing what we feel we need to be compassionately witnessed. Following the circle will be some free time for mingling and tea (included).My body is my compass.This event is hosted by Body Compass: pleasure coaching, bodywork, doula, and postpartum healing services located in Austin, TX. Body Compass is informed by the two modalities of sexological bodywork and doulaing. The practice is trauma sensitive and embodied.
