23rd Framework Forum

The Oregon Geographic Information Council and Geospatial Enterprise Office (GEO) coordinate with government agencies to develop and manage geographic information across Oregon. They guide development of Oregon's GIS data standards and work to ensure Framework geospatial data assets are maintained to the highest level possible. Working together with state, federal, and local governments, OGIC and GEO are improving the geographic information available. GEO also serves as the State's point of contact for geographic information and GIS and is part of theOffice of the State Chief Information Officer.

<P>The 23rd Framework Forum will feature a presentation by Dr. Chris Daly and Dr. Dylan Keon on Oregon climate datasets, how they are created and how to get them. At the Forum you will also learn about new and ongoing activities by the Framework Implementation Team community, Geospatial Enterprise staff, Framework program developments, and more! The <A HREF="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZBgR-yZBDFjRr4YkSRwGwNBOqG0OiyIu/view?usp=sharing" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="agenda" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">program </A> starts at 9:00 AM but the room will be open at 8:30 AM for networking. </P>
<P>The Oregon GIS Framework is the geospatial data backbone for Oregon's spatial data infrastructure known as <EM>navigatOR</EM>. The Oregon GIS Framework is composed of key data elements that have been identified by a wide array of partners, participants, and stakeholders from across the entire Oregon GIS community as fundamental for meeting their business, research, and other basic operations. <SPAN>The purpose of the Framework is to facilitate the delivery of critical services to residents and maximize public investment in transforming data into useable information. <P>The building footprints panel has been changed to a lunchtime group discussion. </P>

<P>Please register by Friday, September 28, if you would like to join us for lunch. There is no charge but your registration will help us with the catering order. </P>
<H4><STRONG>What do I bring to the event?</STRONG></H4>
<P>Bring an open mind and positive energy. There will be space to display maps &amp; posters, but please indicate your plans to bring a poster when you register.</P>

<P>Yes and yes, please!
