Philly & the Fairmount Park System are located on the unceded land of theLenape, the original stewards of the ground we work. Any events here are to educate and honor the land.P﻿hood Phorest Volunteer Dayswelcome everyone to learn while they work and take home food, seeds, and plants. As our Phorest matures and our abundance grows, it will also be shared with our surrounding neighbors, and organizations that are fighting against neighborhoodfood apartheids. The Phood Phorest is part ofPhiladelphia Parks & Recreation, is in partnership with thePhiladelphia Orchard Project(POP).

Wissahickon Phood Phorest

In this indoor/outdoor program, learn about the special adaptations of owls. 2nd Grade & up. $5 per child per lesson.

Wissahickon Environmental Center-Tree House

<h2><strong>In this indoor/outdoor program, learn about the special adaptations of owls: their eyes for seeing in the dark, their feathers for silent flight, and their sharp talons for catching prey. Dissect an owl pellet, and once evening falls, take a short moonlit hike to listen for owls.</strong></h2><h2>Suggested for 2nd grade &amp; up with an adult. Younger siblings and all genders and abilities welcome! </h2><h2>$5.00  (cash) per child to be paid upon arrival.</h2><h2>Please bring a mask.</h2><h3><strong>Questions</strong>?
