We apologize for any inconvenience****Edge of Discovery 501(c)3 presents Shattering The Pictures in Our Heads, a documentary video installation at UMOCA from January 21 - April 30, 2022. Masks and proof of vaccination are required. We'll have more updates as we get closer to the event, you can follow us on our <a href="https://fb.me/e/8sfyA5hsZ" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Facebook event page</a>.Shatter is a multi-screen documentary experience deconstructing the mythic Indian stereotype with genuine perspectives from members of the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Indian Reservation, NV &amp; ID. <a href="https://www.edgeofdiscovery.org/shatter" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">edgeofdiscovery.org/shatter</a>Expanding the conversation on Indigenous representation are intimate vignettes by Native American activists and artists living in Utah. Specially created by the Shatter team for the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, these perspectives have been woven into the exhibit to change the perception of life, history, and identity in the Mountain West, and to encourage dialogue. Shatter is a bold new endeavor for the Deep West Filmmaking Mentorship by Edge of Discovery, a vibrant initiative connecting filmmakers and communities that began in 2014.
